Japanese school girl style, the grown-up way: Margarin Fingers SS14
Margarin Fingers perfectly encapsulates why Korean is arguably the most exciting fashion hub of the moment. It's not that Korean fashion is conceptual or clever, it's just that there is this desire to continuously re-invent and update how we should dress, everyday.
When we first saw Margarin Finger's lookbook a few months ago, we got REALLY excited: identical looking teenage girls wearing matching outfits of stripes, jumpsuits, sailor dresses, mesh shirts and glittery sandals. But don't get fooled by the virginal feel of the lookbook: Margarin Fingers creates pieces for women who have a strong, confident sense of style, with an appreciation for cool textures and innovative yet nostalgic cuts.
Our top 3 pieces? The navy sailor dress, which fulfills our fantasy of looking like a Japanese school girl from a Studio Ghibli movie (available in store and online soon). The chambray jumpsuit, which we will wear all summer with a big hat, in Regent's Park. And finally, the sheer cropped shirt, which we've started layering with absolutely everything in our wardrobe, making any outfit we devise a LOT more fashion-fowards.
